By using the JDZ Solar Savings Calculator (the “Calculator”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. The Calculator is provided free of charge as an educational and illustrative tool.

All outputs of the Calculator — including current and projected bills, annual and ten-year savings, self-consumption, system sizing, battery sizing recommendations, EV running-cost comparisons and inflation projections — are indicative estimates only. They are modelled from the figures you enter and from simplified assumptions, and they will differ from your actual outcomes.

Nothing produced by the Calculator is:

• a formal solar or battery proposal, quotation, or offer to supply;
• an engineering, structural, electrical or site assessment;
• financial, taxation, credit or investment advice;
• a recommendation of any electricity retailer, tariff or energy plan;
• a guarantee, warranty or promise of savings, performance or payback.

You should obtain a site-specific design and written quotation, and seek independent professional advice, before making any purchase or financing decision.

Real-world results depend on factors the Calculator cannot know or predict, including:

• your retailer’s tariffs, supply charges, discounts, feed-in rates and plan changes;
• your actual consumption volume and the time of day you use energy;
• weather, seasonality, temperature, soiling and shading;
• roof orientation, pitch, available space and system design;
• equipment selection, inverter and battery behaviour, degradation and losses;
• installation quality, commissioning, grid connection approvals and export limits;
• household behaviour, occupancy, appliance and EV charging patterns;
• rebates, incentives, regulation and network rules, which change over time.

The accuracy of every result depends on the accuracy of the information you provide. Where you upload a bill, automated extraction may misread, omit or misinterpret figures, particularly on bills with multiple rates, tiered tariffs or poor image quality. Extracted values are presented for your review and remain editable; you are responsible for checking them before relying on any output. The Calculator is provided by JDZ Solar Pty Ltd (ABN 38 615 821 013) as an informational and marketing tool. Where an enquiry, quote request or contact form is offered, submitting it is voluntary and you must provide accurate details and only your own contact information, or information you are authorised to provide. Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract, quotation or commitment by either party, and any figures you send with it remain indicative estimates. By submitting an enquiry you agree that JDZ Solar may contact you to respond to it. How that information is handled is described in the JDZ Solar Privacy Policy and our Calculator Privacy Notice.

You agree not to:

• use the Calculator for any unlawful, misleading or deceptive purpose;
• present its outputs to a third party as a formal quotation, contract, guaranteed saving or accredited assessment;
• upload documents you do not have the right to upload, or that contain another person’s information without their consent;
• upload malicious files, or attempt to probe, overload, scrape, reverse engineer or interfere with the Calculator or its underlying services;
• use automated means to submit high volumes of requests, or resell or rebrand the Calculator without written permission.

We may restrict or withdraw access, and may modify, suspend or discontinue the Calculator or any of its assumptions, at any time without notice.

The Calculator, its design, content and underlying models remain the property of Solar Hound and its licensors. You may use the outputs for your own personal or internal assessment purposes only.

The Calculator is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law, including as to accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JDZ Solar and its personnel are not liable for any loss or damage — including lost savings, lost revenue or profit, additional energy costs, or any indirect, incidental or consequential loss — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Calculator or its outputs, or from any error, interruption or unavailability of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability can be limited rather than excluded, our liability is limited to resupplying the relevant service or, at our option, the cost of doing so.
