Calculator Privacy Notice

Before you can use the Calculator we ask for your name, email address, phone number and postcode. When you submit these details they are sent to our team as a new enquiry, so we can contact you about your solar or battery enquiry — including if you do not finish the Calculator or send your estimate.

Uploading an electricity bill is entirely optional — every field can be completed manually instead. If you upload a PDF, photo or screenshot of a bill, we use it to extract the billing figures it contains (such as usage, rates, supply charge, feed-in tariff and billing days). Those figures are shown to you for review before they are applied. Bills are only retained with your consent: at the end of the Calculator you can choose whether a copy of your bill is kept with your enquiry so a consultant can check it.

When you submit your estimate, we store your contact details, the figures used in your estimate, the calculated results, and any optional documents or photos you chose to attach. These are stored securely and are accessible only to authorised JDZ Solar staff. Third-party service providers may process information on our behalf in providing the Calculator, and website interaction data may be collected by the Meta Pixel for advertising measurement. Information is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections; no system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we do not sell your information.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You may ask to access or correct the information we hold about you, ask us to stop sending you marketing, or make a privacy complaint by contacting JDZ Solar Pty Ltd by email at info@jdzsolar.com.au or by phone on 02 6622 4397. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
